The night after

Well, so we went to CHIJMES for our annual bash and the night started pretty late for me and Jen. We reached at about 9.30pm and the rest had already eaten. We went to Rubinos for some food and the service was really poor over there. After dinner, we started our drinks session and clocked 11 bottles of Champange, 3 bottles of red wine and 6 jugs of beer in total.

Total group count : Gerald, Amy, Eve, Adeline and her hubby, Ronald, Michael, Jessie, Jen & me. Wendy and Eugene came at about 12.30am so as you can see; it was a pretty sloshed up night for us. The count down came and went without much fanfare honestly. I personally felt the selection of a cuban band to perform was a bit of an anti-climax…

As usual, Gerald, Michael, Eugene and Ronald turned pretty violent and started throwing jugs, smashing glasses and even managed to dent the pewter champange bucket. Wendy, Adelene, Eve and Jen was sloshed as well and they were pouring water all over us. The night ended at about 4am and franky – This countdown party ended pretty silly for us … not sure i really did enjoy much of it after the first 3 hours…

Ladder 49

Just caught Ladder 49 starring John Trivolta on STAR Movies. Although I have watched it before, but it never fails to touch me somehow. Pretty sad watching that guy get left behind the sea of flames and die from trying to save someone. I know it's Hollywood glorification of firemen but it's both heartwarming and saddening nonetheless.

Brief Updates

Well, 2 full weeks of intense classroom lessons taking up all 7 days a week plus work is finally over! Although it's been only 2 weekends, the class have developed a certain sense of bonding to each other and our final lunch over Sunday was an enjoyable one indeed. Of course as the class disbanded, we all headed back to where we came from and the next time we see each other would be in May for our exams for this module. And for those of us in core intake, we'll see each other in the next module thereafter.

Spent the rest of Sunday shopping and managed to catch a movie (Sentinel) with Jenny. Of course Keifer Sutherland was the main draw why I insisted on the show and it was a pretty exciting 2.5 hour ride ! Very 24-like and it's brilliant.

Hmm not to mention – elections are coming up and no doubt an interesting event this time round. The opposition have grown in numbers and a lot more younger candidates are standing up for elections which is a good thing. Let's keep watching and see what happens …
